The Canterville Ghost

Hi there!! I'm back!! That sounds really strange! :P

And as usual, I would like to thank my new follower - Ellie Great.

And here is the new (well, actually old, but new for me) book I read and to say the truth, it took me half and hour finish it.

So, dear readers, I present to you, The Canterville Ghost, by the one and only Oscar Wilde!

My school teacher told us that we'll be reading this after the holidays and I just couldn't resist reading it.

Basically, this is the story of a ghost who takes his job of haunting a house VERY seriously. Unfortunately, the people who come to stay in the house are hardly bothered by the ghost. Infact, they ruin all his acts by suggesting modern methods and playing tricks on the poor ghost. This makes the ghost very sad and even though he wants revenge, he is too afraid of another trick and stays quietly in his room.

The story is very interesting, humorous and is a must read for all haunted house fanatics!

Hope you have fun!

Forbidden by Syrie and Ryan M. James

Hey, I'm back again!

And before telling you about the totally awesome book I just read, I want to thank Posh Yla and Willa Wreader for following me.

And Forbidden by Syrie James and her son Ryan M. James is one of the coolest books I've ever read.

Claire Brennan has changed seven schools till date and is ecstatic that her mother is not going anywhere this year. The story begins on Book Day in Emerson School and Claire's over-protective mother is dropping her to school. It's in the car that Claire has the first vision.

And why is the new and extremely good-looking Alec MacKenzie so mysterious? Does he know why the visions keep coming to her? And could he be a vampire? Or is he Superman?

And when Claire finds out that any kind of relationship with Alec is forbidden, how will she stop her growing feelings for him?

Forbidden is a gripping novel and it's not a ghost story. And what is more, it is actually different from all paranormal romance novel because of more adventure. And believe me, this is not the usual damsel-in-distress and Prince Charming love story!

You'll love it when you read the book!

Btw, if anyone wants to read the book online, here is the link :

Need More Awesome Books!

I'm back! Before I write anything else, I want to thank my two followers - Jill Elizabeth and Silvana Miteva Velickovska VERY VERY much!

Next, anyone who is searching for an adventurous read with no proper ending - I'll recommend Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi (nothing against the author, she seems to be a very nice writer - it's just that the story lacks a proper ending).

Seventeen year old Juliette Ferrars has been left alone since a very young age - she's got no friends, her family hates her and she is in an asylum - because she can kill anyone with a touch of her hand!

Follow her journey in a sort of post-apocalyptic world where everything is run by the Reestablishment. Even though the story is slightly unrealistic - it is an interesting book with a disappointing end.

And if any of you are reading this post, then please suggest some good fantasy novels.

Really Great Books

Hello People!
I am in need of followers but I thought that I should post this anyway. For all those poor people out there who want to read something else rather than reading Harry Potter and Twilight again - there are more books out in the fantasy world which I'm sure you're gonna love.

1. Try the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini - The first book in the series has already been made into a movie - Eragon. The Cycle is about the adventures of a sixteen year old boy Eragon and his dragon Saphira (pronounced Suh-FEAR-uh). Basically, this book is somewhat like Harry Potter with a few exciting twists. I'd recommend these books to anyone who dreams of Hogwarts each night.

2. Already read it? Don't worry, how about the Hunger Games Trilogy - btw, movie releases on 23rd March - can't wait! Anyway, this Trilogy is about a sixteen year old girl in post apocalyptic USA who has to take part in the annual Hunger Games - and falls in love with her fellow Tribute in the Arena. Actually, once you take up the book, it's difficult to put it down.
3. Old Topic? How about supernatural romance - with hardly any romance and lots of encounters with a couple of ghosts? Anna Dressed In Blood by Kendare Blake is one of the best ghost stories ever. Theseus Cassio Lowood kills ghosts! Yes, ghosts! One day, he and his witch-mother go to kill Anna Kurlov's ghost but when our hero ends up in her house - she doesn't kill him, even though the legend says that Anna Dressed In Blood will kill anyone who dares to enter her house. Sequel - Girl Of Nightmares releases in 2012.
4. Still bored? How about a new vampire story? Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is the story of Kali D'Angelo who is human today and a preternatural creature hunter - every other day! It is a really interesting book and I refused to stop until I finished it!
5. Or do you want something right in the middle of fiction and non-fiction? Between Shades Of Gray by Ruta Sepetys tells the hardships faced by Lina Vilkas, a Lithuhanian, when she and her family are taken away by Soviet soldiers during the reign of Josef Stalin. Even though it's got a not-so-happy ending, it shows the hardships faced by the common people due to Communism.
So, did you find any of my suggestions useful for a boring afternoon?

I'll update soon!
